Asthma treatment with folk remedies at home

Bronchial asthma is a chronic ailment in which lung damage occurs. The development of this disease is evidenced by the appearance of dyspnea, catarrhal symptoms and acute respiratory failure. The narrowing of the bronchi in asthma is due to the influence of negative factors on the cells and elements that form them. The latter include eosinophils, T-lymphocytes, macrophages.

Treatment of asthma with folk remedies should be accompanied by traditional medicine.

Home therapy should be aimed at stopping the inflammatory process and relieving bronchial obstruction. Air exchange is restored after sputum production decreases. In the clinical picture of the patient, in addition to the above symptoms, there are severe shallow breathing, wheezing in the lungs and a feeling of congestion that occurs in the chest.

This list is supplemented by cough, severe headache, general malaise, cyanosis of the skin, daytime sleepiness. Asthma attacks most often occur in the early morning and night. An exacerbation of asthma can be caused by the following:

Allergy

  • allergy to external irritants (dust, synthetic detergents, household chemicals, tobacco smoke, pollen, food);
  • a sharp decrease in immunity;
  • disturbances in the work of the respiratory and endocrine systems;
  • lack or excess of vitamins;
  • harmful addictions;
  • unbalanced diet;
  • bad ecology;
  • genetic predisposition;
  • professional activity;
  • emotional stress;
  • taking medications.

Shortness of breath after exercise is a cause for concern. Anyone can develop asthma. Age, gender and race do not matter. This disease can provoke the development of a common cold, dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema.

Effectiveness of home therapy

For asthma, folk remedies should be used in combination with traditional methods. Otherwise, it will be quite difficult to achieve recovery. In order for homemade medicines to give the maximum positive effect, their interaction must be taken into account.

The general therapeutic regimen for asthma includes preventive measures that prevent:

Bronchial asthma is a pathology, after the detection of which a person should be under the constant supervision of a narrow-profile specialist. The treatment concept depends on the severity of the disease.

In the first stage of asthma, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing appear. With the transition to the next stage, there is an increase in seizures. Doctors note an increase in the sensitivity of the mucous membranes lining the airways. With bronchial asthma of the third degree of severity, symptoms appear daily. Because of this, living standards and working capacity are sharply reduced.

At the fourth stage, an asthmatic person is not able to lead an active lifestyle. The risk of death arises with a critical exacerbation of bronchial asthma. Attacks can appear at any time of the day. They provoke the development of acute respiratory failure. The nature of the flow depends on the type. Asthma can be neurogenic, allergic, and infectious.

Varieties of folk remedies

Medicines for bronchial asthma are prepared on the basis of medicinal plants. Essential oils are often used for inhalation. All formulations used are divided into two categories. Products for children are created according to recipes that include hypoallergenic components. This is due to the fact that babies with a history of asthma are more sensitive to the effects of hazardous substances.

Drugs often contain narcotic beverages and other ingredients that can cause negative symptoms. In the manufacture of a medicine for asthma, the components must be taken in a dosage that was selected by the doctor.

Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide

If bronchial asthma was triggered by a bacterial infection, hydrogen peroxide is used for treatment. This medication has disinfectant, analgesic and immunostimulating properties. When it interacts with blood, oxygen is released, as a result of which the process of hemoglobin production is accelerated.

The medicinal composition is diluted in warm boiled water (30 drops of peroxide per ½ cup). The asthma remedy is used in the morning immediately after waking up. Each evening, the patient should consume one teaspoon of a mixture of honey and badger fat. Diluted peroxide is also used for rubdown. The course of treatment is not more than 10 days.

You can treat asthma at home with compresses and inhalations. The mixture containing the specified component can be taken orally on an empty stomach. Each of these methods must be approved by a doctor. Otherwise, side effects cannot be avoided.

Mustard oil contains sulfur compounds. Therefore, it cannot be used to treat patients suffering from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, urinary, endocrine and cardiovascular systems.

The duration of the course depends on the diagnosis, general condition and individual characteristics of the patient. Tincture for asthma is allowed to be used for prophylaxis. To achieve the maximum effect, medicines made from honey and other beekeeping products are used in parallel with medicinal decoctions. The latter are made on the basis of coltsfoot, plantain and pine buds.

Unrefined grains are often combined with milk. The first ones are thoroughly washed, the second ingredient is heated. Infusion for asthma is placed in a thermos and left alone for 5-6 hours. The medicine is used daily, honey and butter are added to it immediately before taking it. Oats can be substituted for barley for asthma.
